The Warm Springs Reservation is located south of Mount Hood and north of Madras along the US-26 corridor. It is the only main road in the area open to the public.

Unless you are a member of the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs, there is nowhere to which one can 'get around.' Please respect this land as being 'off limits' to the casual tourist.

- Fishing: Fishing permits are available through the tribal fishing permit office for use in limited areas. All areas not available for permit are reserved exclusively for tribal use.

Don't. Outside of the casino, this reservation is dry and criminal penalties will be leveled against any person found to be in possession of alcoholic beverages. The Tribal Police take this matter quite seriously.

Sleep[edit]
- 1Breitenbush Lake, ☏+1 541-553-2001 ext 1236. An undeveloped campground (no electricity, no garbage service, pit toilets) on the far western edge of the Reservation in the Mt. Jefferson area. While it is open to the public, it is located on tribal land and as such is subject to their rules and regulations. Unless you are hiking on the Pacific Crest Trail, do not wander about freely outside of the campground area; these tribal lands are off-limits to those without tribal membership.Free.
Stay safe[edit]
When visiting the casino or museum, take care to secure your personal belongings. Theft from vehicles is not uncommon.
The town of Warm Springs is known to be somewhat unsafe for outsiders. Do not wander off the main roads, as doing so not only may expose you to risk but is also illegal.
Respect[edit]
Warm Springs is the principal settlement of the Warm Springs Indian Reservation. As this is land owned by the Native Americans, please follow all laws and regulations, do not freely attempt to 'explore' the area by driving off of the main highway or trekking and use the same common-sense guidelines of respect that you would on other Indian lands.
